Campus Parking/Parking Permit
Every non-UTB/TSC vehicle brought onto campus by visitors, students, staff or faculty needs a parking permit. The permit allows access to park on a UTB/TSC parking lot. It does not guarantee a parking space. Visitors need a visitor parking permit and may park in visitor spaces only. Students may park in student designated areas and the General Parking lots only. Staff may park in Staff designated areas and the General Parking lots only. Faculty may park in Faculty designated areas and the General Parking lots only. Campus Police require the following:
- Vehicle Information: Current License plate, make, model, year, and color.
- Students need to bring two picture IDs - UTB/TSC ID and Drivers License/ Texas ID.
- Statement of Charges (if you are also a student). Make sure that parking fees is marked on the statement. If it is not marked then you have not paid for a parking permit. Students also need to verify and correct (if necessary) the address printed on the statement at Enrollment Office.
- Staff and Faculty, if you are picking up a semester permit, you need to bring cash/check or receipt from the Business Office or a pink form that states that you want a payroll deduction to Campus Police. If you are also a student and the permit was paid with your tuition then see Step 3 instead of Step 4.
- The most important thing you need to do is to come and pickup the permit to place in the vehicle. If you paid for a permit but did not pick it up it does not mean that you are allowed to bring a vehicle to campus.
Reminder: Vehicles without a visible permit will be fined as will vehicles that have the permit improperly placed in the wrong location. The permit has to be placed on the inside windshield in the lower right corner (in front of the passenger). It is your responsibility to correctly display the permit every time you bring a vehicle to campus. Those with handicap placards also need to have a handicap permit from campus police (there is no charge for handicap permits). Also, cars that are parked in an incorrect space will be fined.
