Tuition Assistance for Spring 2002

Applications for Employee Tuition Assistance for Spring 2002 will be accepted in Human Resources starting Monday, December 3rd at 8:00 am through Monday, December 17th at 5:00 p.m.  Completed applications will be considered on a first-come, first-served basis while funding is available.  Only full-time employees who have completed their probationary period are eligible to apply.

Interested employees are strongly encouraged to enroll for classes by telephone or on-line registration BEFORE submitting an application to make sure the requested class is available.  Application forms  are currently available in Human Resources or on-line at www.utbtsc.edu/human_resources/pdf/job-staff-tuition.pdf.

Due to recent events, Human Resources will accept faxed applications for tuition assistance.  The faxed application must be legible, readable and signed by the applicant.  Submit or fax your application to Human Resources at 982-0175.  Please make sure to keep the fax confirmation produced by your fax machine for your records.

Blue Access for Members

BlueCross and BlueShield of Texas logosHow would you like to be able to check the status of your medical claims? View or print your Explanation of Benefits Statements?  Review your membership information for yourself and your family?  Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas, your new health insurance carrier, has a web site link that gives you direct access to information about your health care medical claims.  To enter the site, go to www.bcbstx.com/ut/members, and click on Log On.  You will need the group number and subscriber identification number on your BCBS identification card to log on successfully.  When you log on for the first time, you will also be prompted to request a password, which will be mailed to your home within 5-7 business days of your request.  This password will give you immediate, confidential access to your benefit claim information.
  

HOOP It Up on-line
The University of Texas at Brownsville and Texas Southmost College Handbook Of Operating Procedures (HOOP) can be viewed online at http://ntmain.utb.edu/iperez/TOFCONTS.htm.  The HOOP is intended to serve as an administrative guide on policies and procedures concerning non-discrimination, Sexual Harassment, ADA grievances, affirmative action, and other university policies.
