UTB/TSC WELLNESS PROGRAM FALL 2002

Program Dates: September 3rd to November 14th

Every UTB/TSC employee is eligible to participate in the Wellness Program. Membership is at no cost to employees (Staff, Faculty, Workstudy, part-time or full-time).  After you join, encourage your peers to join, too.  Employees who elect to participate MUST sign a waiver PRIOR to participating in any Wellness activity.  The waiver simply verifies that participants are aware of the risks and believe that they are sufficiently healthy enough to participate.  All Wellness members are strongly encouraged to receive a physical examination before beginning any exercise program.

Wellness Fitness Activity Record

When you sign up for the Wellness Program you will receive a Wellness Personal Fitness Activity Card. This card may be used to record your fitness activity for the semester. If you have signed up and have not received a card just let us know in Human Resources and we will be happy to forward one to you. Your card needs to be turned in before November 18, 2002, in order to be considered for the Top Ten winners.

Wellness Members are on an honor system for reporting these activities but we request that you only count sessions of sustained aerobic – type activity. Any such session of 30 minutes or longer (including 5 minutes of warm up and 5 minutes of cool down) will count towards your minimum goal of 21 sessions. Long sessions of 60 minutes or more cannot be counted as double.
