How to use the Course Sections page

How to use Search options

There are two methods that you can use to search Course Sections:

1) By Course Title. Here you would simply enter a few characters of a subject that you wish to list courses for into the 'Course Title:' field. e.g. if you entered 'vehicle' you would get a listing of any course that had that word in the description. If this field is used then the Course Number field is ignored.

Also be aware that descriptions within this database may not match exactly those contained within the printed course schedule, so try entering partial descriptions rather than a full description.

Example: When looking for a course with a description of 'Basic Mathematics Lab' try entering just Mathematics at first. If this doesn't narrow it down enough for you, then you may enter 'Basic Math' etc.

or

2) By Course Number. You would use this one if you wanted to display information for a particular course you already knew the course name of.

Example: If you had a course called MATH 1234 01 you would enter it here. It you want to enter the full course name then it must be entered in this format complete with dashes:

MATH-1234-01 or MATH-1234 or MATH

If the description field is used then this field is ignored.

Drop down Menus

The 'Semester' drop down menu is used to select an available semester for which you wish to view course information for.

The 'Table Width' drop down menu allows you to select between Normal and Wide for viewing preference. The default is Normal since this format allows you to print the web page.
